ASL Airlines Australia has entered into a conditional sale and purchase agreement to acquire the New Zealand and Australia freight operations of Airwork Group. The transaction remains subject to final-stage due diligence and customary regulatory and commercial conditions. ASL Airlines Australia forms part of the Ireland-based ASL Aviation Group.
ASL Aviation Group has operated a global network of cargo airlines across Europe, Africa and Asia. The acquisition has strengthened the group’s position in the Australasian cargo sector. Airwork has operated its freight division across New Zealand and Australia and has supported logistics and express parcel networks.
Stefan Oechsner CEO and Managing Director of ASL Airlines Australia said the parties have indicated that no further details will release at this stage. Updates will emerge once the transaction progresses toward completion.
